4k timing cover removal

anyone had any success at removing the timing cover on a 4k without dropping the sump???

im assuming if you pop the seal out you might just be able to get the thing off as the studs at the bottom of timing cover pass through the sump and this may just give you enough clearance to get it off.........

anyone had any success at this before anyone?????????

maybe someone who did a cam change with the engine in still?????

You'll pretty much end up dropping the sump to gain enough room to clear the studs.
You could try to pull the studs out first, but there isnt much room to do that.

Might be worthwhile replacing the studs with bolts once you've got it out

the studs wont screw out cos thay have a bolge in them but if ya keen anuf you can yank them through.
