Other Comment's about the vehicle:
Hi Team,
Today I am selling an RT142 Corona Avante on behalf of a good friend of mine (who is not a 'cars' guy).
The good things -
-It's an RT142. Which means it has a fuel injected, 2.4L SOHC 22R-E, and a Toyota W55 5 speed manual transmission. This particular example features a solid rear axle (Borg-Warner) with rear disc brakes (in addition to having front discs brakes too, duh)
-It hasn't been thrashed. This was my friends 'getting around' car, so there's been no skids performed in it. Just doddering around the suburbs and the occasional weekend away. Steel wheels have been swapped on to the car from my mates new car. The front tyres have about 50% tread, the rears i am not sure.
-It's White. Everyone loves a while car. Right?
-Tacho Dash!
-It's got rego until 7/12/10.
The Bad things
-Lets's address the bear in the room. It's got a blown head gasket. Well, it's got compression making its way to coolant and oil, suspected to be from cyl 3. The oil is milky and compression on cylinder 3 is down.
-It has some issues with the sun roof. As in, the sun roof blew off while my friend was on one of his weekend getaways. The hole has been covered and is watertight. Pictures are below.
-It has rust in the drivers 1/4 panel
-The window winder on the drivers door is a bit dicky
-The tint is bubbling in some places.
That all said she's not in bad condition overall, and if someone were to fix it up, you'd have a pretty neat RT142.
Apparently the car starts, but if you buy it you'd best bring a trailer.
CAR IS SOLD 'AS IS'.
PICTURES - It needs a wash and suspension is not settled after being jacked up to change the wheels:
