Hey guys,

I want to purchase some STAINLESS flanges to make some header(s) with. I'd love to get the variety that are slotted, so they suit 16V AND 20V.

Like below in this pic

If anyone knows anyone that sells this kind of thing, speak up. MY local exhaust shops are hopeless, only want to do mild, or want to charge the earth.

**I haven't put this in the WTB section, as other people might want to know where to get this stuff**

Thanks
Seamus

I got a CAD file for 16v flange and i have 1 spare 12mm thick 304 flange that i had cut. it was $80 each, but i only had two cut. so the more you buy the cheaper.

Can also modify to fit 20v.

I agree with the above. Get a price for a 10mm plate and then a quote for laser cutting.

I don't undestand why not all companies don't make their pipes 16/20v compatiable

i would think its because these companies just mass produce products and have no idea about the specifics or our cars or how we modify them. they just make headers that hopefully fit, look ok and possibly increase performance

and with oversized holes so they can have sloppy workmanship at the expense of mismatched flanges

Okay, bumping this back up.

Does anyone on here have 'mad hookupz bro' to have some made up? I DONT have a CAD file for the flange, but i could supply a trace/gasket for use.

I would probably like to make the flange so that it suits 16V AND 20V too, and i am happy to buy in bulk if it's cheap :)

You do the measurements, I'll do the CAD, whoever can get it cut. I can get it cut here in WA but there's probably a bunch of places in QLD that can do it for you.

You tried contacting 6boost or something? he might sell you flange only. Tried wtfauto in WA? They MAY have them in stock as they are toyota specialists but I think they do more work in 1/2jz and 3S than 4a.

Laser cutting is cheaper than water and more precise. The water cutter I use will do me little jobs but the all the laser cutters here have a minimum charge of $100-200 so if I ever did a bulk run of something, I'd use laser but for getting one flange done, I've always used the water cutter. Dunno if it's similar in QLD or not.

Just in case anyone is interested, i ended up getting these laser-cut. I got the flange cut to suit 16V and 20V motors - ended up costing me ~$700 (this is for 10 though!!) in lovely marine-grade 316L stainless - so they shouldn't EVER rust. I'm pretty happy.

So thanks everyone for your help, and if anyone needs one i have about 9 spare. ;)

I'm absolutely positive they'll be fine. I have a simple jig to hold down the flange while it's welded, and lovefab/fullrace have been using the same material/thickness flange for years without any dramas :)

(I do admit that 12-15mm thick mild steel is the 'best' for this job, but i don't want to have a rusty flange [lol] and i'm not interested in ceramic coating)

And yep, i'll get a photo up soon. And they're 10 or 12mm thick, i will confirm soon.
