My reverse lights dont seem to be working...

so ive changed my globes as i initially thought my globes were dead, but it turns out that wasnt the problem. ive looked at the fuses and saw one that was labeled 'tail' and that seems fine.

anyone have any ideas?

thanks

switch on gearbox?? pull plug out and bridge it out and see what happens?

short out the wires on the leads going to the gearbox and see if it comes on, this will determine if it's the switch.

It usually just is the wires falling off the gearbox... they are a very loose fit.

have you checked the wires on the gearbox?

bannana lugs fit really well over the pins of the reverse sensor

If all else fails, and its a JDM rear light loom, in the drivers side rear side panel in the boot, there is a green box.
Disconnect this box, take the circuit board out and have a look for cold solder joints which have cracked away from components.
If these are present, add a little more solder and re-connect.

Hmm, maybe also check that the red wires (one with a black trace, and the other blue trace) are connected to the large box holding many gear parts (connected to the motor via a bellhousing), but not sure if anyone has said that yet.

Problem solved!!

And the winner is "wires on the gearbox"

The tuners had taken my gearbox out because they were fitting a new clutch before doing the dyno, I guess they didn't fit the wires on properly or it came loose.

Thanks everyone
