AE71 Auto to manual conversion

problem - using auto bolts to attach manual gearbox to engine or where i can get new bolts,

- also how to bypass neutral safety for the auto or what do other people do?

you should be able to use the same bellhousing bolts for the gearbox's

near the shifter is 4 wires. 2 are for the lights in the auto shifter. the other 2 are the "start only in park" wires. join these together to bypass. (might be black from memory?)

M12 x 1.25pitch, any bolt store but they will have an 18mm head instead of 17mm.

why cant you use auto bolts they too long too short or what???
ust remove the switch and bridge the 2 wires together

thanks i thought you could use the same bolts half way through conversion just covering my self, wires are a easy fix lol

ok car wont start auto has 4 wires coming off the actual box, (only 2 wires near shifter for the light) one red single wire and 3 in a loom just wondering how what i should do need car to run thanks

the shifter ones go straight to a globe for gear lights? crap photo but they are the 2 plugs off the trans

another question my tailshaft wont fit on my t50 the output shaft seems smaller and the seal doesnt allow the tailshaft to go all the way in its 22 spline same as the tail shaft which is from a manual 86

i think you need to, join the wire on the 3 plug(wire for park, wire for N, wire from earth) see if that works
yea you need a t series tailshaft i beleive

is there a different thickness of the output shaft off the t50? im just worried my t50 is right. i dont wanna go buy another tailshaft if gearbox is wrong rear shaft seems smaller in thickness still 22 splines?

any photos of rear shaft of a t50 cant find any?? and measurements

got tailshaft all good now just still cant start car joined all 3 wires or just 2 get power no ignition which sucks any help
