View Full Version : 15x9 superlights round 2. EOI

Howdy guys
I know ive talked about this before
Now Ive got a few issues that were slowing progress on these sorted, I want genuine EOIs.
Ive been getting quite a few enquiries so hopefully this works out.
Yes its a lot of $ and a long way off, but
I really want this to happen and I have support.
The plan is to that them cast as a -8 to 0 offset wheel.
Have them cast as a lighter style (GTR without the machining)
Still the same 8 spoke style.
Who would be genuine interested.
Also this way I can offer 15x8 and 15x9 staggers and 15x9 and 15x10 staggers.
Will still be able to be drilled in any stud pattern and any colour finish.
So who would like a pair of reasonably light, 15x9 low off set locally made superlights?
Also this will also include another run of the 14x8 hurricanes.
Post away....

AJPS
11th March 2011, 02:54 PM
there is such a small market for 14s tho.
the 15s can go on gazelles, s13, r31, celica, ma61 etc etc. And of course ae86
I will have another 40 14x8 -10 hurricanes in about 3 weeks if anyone is keen?
AJPS
11th March 2011, 02:58 PM
UPDATE:
Went for my meeting today.
I will have a sample in 3 weeks.
If all is good and im happy with it I will be asking for deposits then.
Pricing im still not sure of, the most the die can be is $45000, but if another one is able to be used then it will bring the cost down quite a lot.
Im expecting them to be about $375 per wheel at this stage $720pr or thereabouts and $1400 a set.
The best thing about them,
Aust made
If you smash one you can replace it with one wheel
I will be posting on datsun/nissan/ford forums soon
Keep the interest coming
blake.
11th March 2011, 05:14 PM
Fair enough. Well I may be interested in the hurricanes 14x8 depending on price

AJPS
1st April 2011, 12:32 AM
yeah no worries
I want people to have a quality locally made option for wheels
*E7*
3rd April 2011, 03:10 PM
Not to be a rude smartarse knowitall c_nt, but why not have a "superlite" style cast alloy centre made that would suit being made into both 14 and 15" 3 pce wheels?
then offsets can be limitless, and you appeal to the widest market. half rims can be purchased to repair damage, or widen rims as necessary.
I would be keen to hear of your thoughts on this scenario. I do know a metal spinner that currently makes quality heat treated 6061 alloy wheel halves with no minimum quantities. (approx $130-150 per half any offset any style centre)
-Dave
PS if this is possible, alternative centres could be offered sometime in the future...
