Hey guys

my AE86 seems to be getting drained quite fast, with a fully charged battery and a drive in the morning...by the next day it wouldnt have enough charge to start...

when i drive my voltage will be at bout the 13-14...when the battery is good it'll start at around 12 and i can start, anything under that and it wont be strong enough.

my friend and i tried getting a multimeter out and checking out what it might be, we did a test with taking out the fuses one at a time. the only time the multimeter read differently was when we took out the DOME fuse. we havent had a chance to look into the areas related to the DOME fuse but i though i might put it out there to see if anyone has had this similar problem.

thanks
Nam

your battery might be dieing/dead, see if there's any battery voltage leakage (put multi metre on positive post and neg onto your batteries cast or the other way around)

If you take the positive terminal off then put it back on, do you get a large blue spark?, checked for Current draw?
Are you getting a full 12V at the starter solenoid?

how old is the battery. 90% chance its the fault. try get access to a load tester it will tell you.

if its not the battery, what non original electrics do you have wired in. start disconnecting suspect components one at a time until the drain stops.

also with the DOME fuse, did you have the door open at the time, because its probably referring to the dome light.

dont recomend this, use the negative it will react in the same way but wont spike shit
