Hey everyone,
Does any one know a part number from arp or any other brand for replacement head bolts for a blacktop 20 valve 4age?
Or do 16v bolts fit? I've done some ringing around but I have had no luck
Cheers

16V bolts don't fit (well - half of them do - the other half are too long).

I know ARP sell a headstud kit, but i don't know if it has an "official" part number (as it's just made up of 10 of the short bolts out of a 16V kit). I bought mine off PASS racing in the states, and they ended up being cheaper than new genuine toyota bolts.

I haven't read anything good about arp head studs so I would like to stick to bolts. If the half the bolts fit then I guess I'm gonna have to buy 2 16v kits to make one. Part availability for these engines is really starting to give me the shits!

ARP is pretty good and studs are better too...If you don't want ARP just stick with Toyota genuine, as they are pretty good itself and cheap, just change them everytime you do an overhaul.

And what can't you get for the 20valve?
