is there a way to tighten the handbrake CABLE itself in my KE? not talking about the adjuster in the drum itself.

yes open your centre console, there will be 2 screws in there and another 2 infront of your console, remove console (makes life alot easier) and you will see the adjuster on the handle

Theres two 10mm nuts youll have to crack the top one and loosen it off. Then you can tighten the lower nut.

yes as above, or you will have a black knob thingo and a nut undo the black thingo and tighten or loosen the 10 mm nut

Also dont go overboard, will only take a small adjustment to tighten up that cable. Count the clicks before it locks ( 4 - 6 is good )

what you want is so that you start to have a little bit of drag with one click and none with it down. Check by adjusting it with the back off the ground. Or atleast that's how I do it
