Hi guys,

I got a T50 leaking oil from the rear seal where the tailshaft goes in.

Has anyone got any tips on how remove it?

Thanks in advance

Remove tailshaft.
Pry seal out with a screwdriver (try not to score the outer lip where the seal sits).
Gently bang in new seal.

Also check your tailshaft, if the part that slides through this seal is rusted/pitted then it will eat your new seal too.

If the tailshaft has a big groove in it where the seal has rubbed with dirt etc, then in theory the new seal will leak. And the solution is to use a "speedy sleeve".

But I often just hope that the new seal will be in a slightly different place to the old, and it won't leak on the groove. Mostly I have been lucky.

you may have to pull the dust cover off to bang the new seal in.
