Can anybody tell me what it takes to convert my 4age big port to small port? I got the head, intake manifold and the ecu and lume...But will my big port headers fit straight to the small port head, and any other things I may need? And if I were to put higher comp pistons, what else might have to be done??? I want to get the most out of my 4age and to have peice of mind that it wont be dieing on me anytime soon... after i have built it ofcorse. Any input on this matter would be great. I will also be make my build thread to share my 86 with everyone soon, once I pull my finger out and get some pics haha. Thanks.

you should really get the smallport bottom end as well...

for one, the block will be a stronger 7rib version, it'll have oil squirters in the cylinders and a external oil line that connects up to the head.

apparently the bigport crank isn't fully counterbalanced as much as the smallport/20v as well

On this same topic, does the RWD waterpump housing, transfer pipe and top head outlet pipe fit without any issues on a small port?
I am having an issue where it appears the transfer pipe is ~5-6mm too long?
O-rings taken off both ends, made sure it was sitting flat on both the rear waterpump thermostat housing and the head outlet.
Overall length of transfer pipe is : 67.8mm

Water pump thermostat housing is from ADM 4ac, transfer pipe from the 4ac, and the head outlet from JDM AE86 4ag.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

4AC bypass pipe is too short to use on a 4AGE.

But all 4AGE RWD water items fit on a Smallport no worries.

Toyo diy says its 2 different part numbers between the JDM AE86 and ADM AE86 water outlet pipe.

16268-16010 PIPE, WATER BY-PASS, NO.1 JDM AE86

16268-15010 (05/1983 - 02/1985) ADM
16268-15011 (03/1985 - 03/1987) ADM

Ok, so I assume that my ADM water by-pass pipe is too long and won't fit.
Can some one please measure the length of a JDM one for clarification?
Thanks
