Hello,

I'm looking at replacing my starter motor.

I have done some looking around and have found a bunch of information.

What i want to know is what is the model number of a 4age RWD Starter?

Heard a bit about "Reduction types". does this make a big difference in the starter motor itself? have heard it means they are stronger than normal ones?

Cheers,
Jon

Go reduction type. I'm actually using a brand new denso 22R in my car, just have to swap over the front housing which AEA did for me! I bought it from:

Auto Electrics Australia
Brisbane South
3277 4566

A bloke there was into Celica's and was running the same setup. $190 from memory.

im using a 215mm flywheel, would a regular starter work with this bigger flywheel? (not a typo, i know the 200 and 212mm flywheels are more common but this one is definately 215mm)
