its function is quite self explanatory.

and you dont need it.
but it is there for a reason.....
id leave it in if you have it....
also what were you thinking of replacing it with? as i didnt have one on a fuel rail i had, so went down to the local fitting shop and had a very hard timing matching up all the threads. needed like 2 adaptors to make it work. worked out quite expensive. then i found a complete fuel rail for cheap and used that instead....

I originally went to buy a banjo fitting for it and that was a pain in the arse and the guy at the store just asked me what it does.. I have absolutly no idea and apart from fuel flowing throw it I couldn't see any usefull purpose for it so I just got an M12x1.5 to -4 adaptor and then a -4 90* bend.
If the engine will run fine without then it can stay off. cause I honestly couldn't be stuffed trying to find then right fitting for it...
Cheers guys

My thoughts too. I kept it until it became a pain to keep. Since ditching it I haven't noticed any issues.
