i tried getting one repaired but the speciallists near me couldnt find the right seals n shit like that they said they could get some made up but would cost a pretty penny they said depending on how much they mean to you better off most likely buying a new pair

theyre the same as blues on 3 (valving). basically perfect for "drift" spring rates.

lots of well known small j' shops use them (jubi ride, revolver, ect) in some of their coilovers.

i think theyre actually intended for mr2. (aw11)

whats to know though really. they work :)

tsr will be able to reco them if theyre kyb based. if theyre tokico built, they might not be able to do it. (trd use both, cant remember what brand builds the yellows).

oh umm. you should be able to buy 1 new. KZG will do you a good price.

yellows are tokico. tsr has changed hands since you used them last Id say Simon, and by all accounts not quite as helpful(skilful) any more. still worth a shot though.

that sounds like them. you could also try WW shock absorbers in Matheson St Geebung/Virginia, next to where import bitz used to be.

TRD yellow @ piston speed of 0.3m/s 236 /112 rebound/compression force, like slydar said nearly same as a blue 48511-AE031 on setting 3.

FYI over the years I have tried in my AE86, Koni Yellows, TRD Green, TRD Yellow, TRD blues(currently fitted), Potenza's and a few others I forget.

Yellow front 48511-AE941 and Blue rear 48531-AE831 I think are best value for money.

I am running 48511-AE031 Blues in front(on setting 3!!), if they ever leak I'm just going to get yellow fronts again.

Disliked the Koni's and the greens.

120 sounds fair. how much to get one new? might pop in tomorrow

Anthony

well list is about 15,500 yen so you'd expect it to cost 350-400 landed at the moment.

a lot for a fixed shock, albeit a good one.

I think I may have one second hand one in working order. I'll check tomorrow.

On the topic of shocks where can I get the ones below from? Is there anywhere that sells them new in Aus?

Yellow front 48511-AE941 and Blue rear 48531-AE831

ummmm really not sure. when i went to TSR, they were actually called that and were not where they are now in moss street, and were owned by "a man of middle-eastern appearance"

on the TSR website, their address is now listed as 73 moss street, which if you go there you will find "Polytuff Suspension Bushes" and "All About Steering & SuspensionAll About Steering & Suspension"

the bloke seemed pretty switched on, after initially calling my shocks duds then realising they had been lying down before testing them on the first stroke lol!
