For those of you who don't know, Eric Bana has made a film about the love of his car (a Ford Falcon GT coupe).

He was on Rove the other night talking about it and I just checked out the website, it looks pretty good and I cant wait to see it... It may even help explain to people why we like our old corollas so much

Check it out: http://www.lovethebeast.com.au/site/

I saw this car in the "pits" at the Casino in Hobart a few years ago. Eric was there, and a camera crew of course. Probably the night before he crashed it.

Targa Tas realy seams to be the one to do. (PM me for navigator spot in Targa South, in a AE86).

i like it because it shows someone who is reasonably well respected in the generic aussie house hold being somewhat in love with cars, and shows your not evil if you do.

by the looks of the trailer its going to be more of a doco style presentation

focus_7
6th March 2009, 01:52 PM
Yeah they're definately conducting interviews in that trailer. Has to be more of a factual/documentary piece rather than traditional narrative film with actors and characters.

jet111

For sure its like a doco but it will be interesting to see what everyone has to say. They are all interesting characters

Yeah or another quality story from Today Tonight or A Current Affair...

they are always about ulehs and habibs. they never address the face that if all us "hoons" were given somewhere to go and test our skills and our cars off the street for a reasonable price we would..

will definetly be seeing this movie, love how they got jeremy clarkson and jay leno involved in it.

Today tonight and a current affair should be taken off the air. They're the most premier models of biased and bullshit media I've ever seen.

this is a bit offtopic mate.

but I love to point out the late 90s ABC series "frontline".

In my opinion if you havn't seen frontline you aren't prepared to watch commercial television. The best sattire ever regarding shows like today tonight.
It will equip you with the ability to watch that tripe purely for laughs.

I was about to say frontline should be compulsory viewing for all australians, but then.... IT WAS .....in NSW year 11, 2001 at least...

Saw it last night at the drive ins. Fark me there were some nice muscle cars there.

Be warned though it's a great movie overall, there is one of his drogan bogan mates dribbling on a bit to some bloke with a shitbox Falcon, and Jeremy Clarkson bags corollas. My mate in the car next to me thought that was the funniest shit he ever heard :(

saw this movie last night, im making all of my family and friends who ask why i spend monies on cars go watch it too!

Im not a big dr. phil fan, but he really did have useful things to say lol. Some of the parts towards the end really do make you get a bit emotional and feel so sorry for the poor bloke when you see his face!

Saw it this arvo, it's a top film. Gotta admit, it does get a bit emotional when he is talking about his car after the crash. You really feel sorry for him.

Also, massive lols at the xb falcon bogan, and when eric and his navigator are pretending to race NASCAR at the end on a 6 wheel quad

I ended up taking that train ride today. I thought it was good but it ended just as I was getting into it. Love his car, its insane. I was pretty impressed by the exhaust system on it, there was a good shot of it when the car was on the hoist, looked like a dual 4 inch system or something...
