Dudes,
My name is Justin, 25yrs. I an one of the owners of X-treme Motorsport, a performance workshop in Townsville Nth QLD. We mainly specialise is nissan imports and tough aussie V8's.
So while I have owned a 11sec 180sx and driven 600Hp sprintcars, I have secretly always wanted an AE86. Why??...........OPOSITE LOCK http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif
I got a good laugh from all the mechanics at work when I turned up in my $800 stock as a rock, silver, aus spec AE.
But I dont care, I finaly got the car i always wanted. Well almost. It will be one day http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif
Cheers.

Hi, I'm Matt. I'm 20 and have been working part time for a while in a crappy job but am going to hit the books again this year at QUT when I move back to Brisvegas in a few weeks.
Been a big fan of the sprinters for a good many years but recently bit the bullet and bought my one as a project on the side (love it, ae85 3au private import with popups and plenty of free rust http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif). I'd also love to meet up with a few of the sprinter people in Brissy sometime.

G'day,
I'm Mark, 24, I live in Hobart, I currently drive a 1988 import Skyline HR31 GTS 2 door coupe (RB20DET, 5 Speed, LSD, 3" exhaust, HICAS, heaps of 80's crap gadgets).
I joined the site because I'm planning to buy an AE71/KE70 project car as soon as the skyline is 100% sorted, I just swapped motors in the skyline so I have a few useful bits for a 4AGTE build (T3 turbo, big throttle body blah blah), and I've always had an interest in the small toyotas. Not selling the 'line anytime soon because its just a fun car, but theres things that are a tad bit too demanding and sketchy to try in a 1440kg skyline.
I often stand around and encourage Jonny Rochester as he works on his sprinter and TE37 replica...
I work as a bicycle mechanic, nightfill at coles, and I am studying a Bachelor of Teaching to complement my BA.

Hey Im John,
Im 20 and I live in syd. My mate has a sprinter and after a while of being in his car i started to like em...... heaps, so i bought 1, as u do. But i was lucky, I bought mine done up already thanx to a mate of mine whos brother was in toymods since the begining i think( THANX LUKE ). Anyways enough crappin on. This is what it has:
-4AGE 86kw blue top
-TRD Fully adjustable suspension, all round that is http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif
-Cussco cambertops, cambered to the maximum
-full respray in white and some rust removed but not all
-front and rear struts
-Brand new Falken azenis semi slicks on cressida rims, that get a good workout seeing how i didnt pay for em
-brand new black carpet
-ugly brown and cream int, soon to be all black n grey
-and sports 2inch system with some gay "sleeper" muffler, I think its 2 inch anyway.
And thats it as far as i can see, appart from a new heavy duty clutch and clutch gear that i bought.
Hoping for some future mods tho. I have the money but the parts r a bitch.

Future plans are Sigma LCAs and rona rods, lowered springs (most probally 6 front 4 back) rims, sports steering wheel and fixed back drivers bucket. and if i decide to possibly a 4ag either 16 or 20v but thatll be far down the track.
When i get some stuff in it ill most probally do a write up on it in the members section.

Currently selling off a 4runner that I lowered 15inches using a grinder and welder. I am looking to get back into little cars that I can coerce into moving against the laws of physics. Out of my 15 cars that I have owned 5 of which were corollas, including an ae86 trueno that I raced. Driving a ke20 atm.

With an open-ended msg u were just asking for that Evan muhahaha!
Well I'm the over-grown asian runt in Evan's Royal Drift club based in Newcastle.
The way Evan is going in the pro's it might get re-named Royal Grippy Drift soon. Goodluck for the guy anyways.
And I am old compared to all the last posters, 24yo when xmas comes. ugh!
I drive a lemon-squash Aus-spec with no mods besides some good shit TRD springs from AJPS to make the car "drivable" around corners. The 4ac in it is dying too (just a headgasket me thinks).
Have an ex-drift pig kouki trueno in the shed, waiting for cheap panelbeating before compliance (I'm very broke)~! (I think maybe I shouldnt have bought it lol). Funny thing is it has a GZE and was left with a top mount.. that actually clears the hood.
Anyways, the real reason why I am here. Someone feed me!

Gidday!
First time poster here, just poking around for some interesting forums and stuff.
I guess a few people here already know my AE-86, but for those who don't ...
http://www.billzilla.org/ae86current.jpg
I've taken the rear spoiler off though, to make it a little more invisible.
It's a 1984 ADM Sprinter, and I bought it as the third owner in 1990. Owned it ever since, no intentions of ever selling it.
It started with me dead stock & blue-coloured, and in 1992 I fitted a lightly modded 4AGE big port, run by a Microtech D4S.
The car eventually got a JDM disc brake rear end around 1995 odd, and over the next few years coil-over suspension all around, big exhaust, painted white, and spoilers.
In about 2003 I fitted a worked small port 4AGE of about 185hp, run by a Motec M4Pro. It also got a close-ratio straight-cut T-50 gearbox. 1st gear would pull to nearly 80km/h!
Then in 2004 the conversion to fit an Altezza blacktop 3SGE was started. It took a long time but the hard stuff was finally done months later. It's still far from finished but it's quite driveable, and has a 5-speed Tiptronic-style automatic gearbox.
http://www.billzilla.org/ae863sgebay4.jpg
http://www.billzilla.org/altezzadash1.jpg
It's just a cruiser now, not a club car like it used to be.
More on it here (http://www.billzilla.org/AE86.htm).

Hey guys, i guess this is where i tell u about me.......
I'm 27, and have had an assortment of cars over the last 10 years or so of driving.....
a HQ kingswood, a datsun 120Y, a 2litre sigma, about 7 minis, a TD gemini coupe, a 98 starlet.....
I still own two minis (project) and the starlet (highly modded...120kw atw)
I've wanted a sprinter since about '98.....when i bought the gemini http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/angry.gif but with various other commitments and projects, it's never happened.....it will one day http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif
I'll be lurking around here looking to absorb as much information as possible, to make things easier when i get the car....i may even find one on here to buy http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif
see ya around,

Just found this site. Current ride is an MY02 WRX.
Living in Townsville where there is a real lack of anything interesting in the car seen!

Hey hey.
My name is Josh, considering buying a sprinter for cheap. Just sold my FC RX7 Infini as I can't afford/be bothered rebuilding the engine (such a shame really as this car was schmick). Looking for a sprinter around 5k or cheaper (don't care if it's 4AC, daily and thrash use).
I'll most likely be prowling around the forums until I buy one or give up and buy a cheap commodore for daily.
Cheers.

Hi All,
My name is Leo, and I drive a PRB clubman that is powered by a warmed over 4age 16v with a T50 and an ae86 diff. Basically, its a VERY light-weight Sprinter! Im always looking for ideas to make it go faster, and saw yet another good knowledge base on this forum. Hope I can gain more knowledge, and share what I have learnt over the years with the forum.
I've always liked the ae86, and am about to embark on a process to put one of my spare engines into a mate's one.
See you out there.

Made a few posts now, so time for an introduction.
My name's Andrew (call me Andy D). I'm 19 (20 in October) and I currently drive an MR2 SW20 Turbo. I also have a 1972 LJ Torana, which I've lovingly restored to original condition. T'was my first car, heh. But, at the moment I'm in the process of getting rid of the MR2 because I've got an AE86 on it's way down from Townsville.
It's a stock red hatchback, AU spec, so it's all good. Got many plans for it as in my various threads I've already started. Should be a bit of fun on the street. One year left till I'm on my open licence, and I've still got all 4 points. Hopefully this AE86 lets me keep them this final year. If I didn't get caught with an MR2 GT (not that I was doing anything wrong...) I should be right.
From my initial impressions, these forums look pretty intelligent and aren't "omgomgomg zortz ad like 5000psi boooooooost and is better than naaaawwwwwzzzzz". Look forward to conversing with you guys. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tup.gif

Hi All, My names Jarron, I ile in Sydney, and im 14.
My fmaily is currently building a 1JZ powered MX83 Cressida which has run 12.454 @ 107.
But enough about that, i do like the AE86 and as my username suggests, i also like the JZ line of engine. so...
2JZ + AE86 = JZE86
By now most of you are probably thinking i am a complete idiot thinking that this is actualy possible. But my dad is old skool, so yes there will be firewall modification etc.
Looking at Lowered, Single turbo 2J with V161 Getrag 6 spd, Panda paintjob, rims etc.
I have not yet got the car so i will be browsing the forsale section on the forums until i come accross a resonably priced 86.

I work weekends at the local ski area, but the snow's melting and the seasons over in a few weeks, so i'll go back to being broke. I have an ae92 GTS that i race on a 1/4 mile oval (I would would put it in km's but i dont know theh conversion, sorry). This pic is old, I will update it later. That car is stripped out, has a full roll cage in it, and is pretty fast.

Hey All, I'm Paul, I'm from Brisbane. Bought an 86 Levin that i'm in the process of restoring, has been someone else's drift project, and I'm in the process of finishing the job. Needs a bit of work to get things back to mint, although some of the hard yards have been done. 4AGZE conversion, Microtech LT8, coilovers, TRD springs, KYB short stroke shocks, cusco camber tops, Whiteline braces/swaybar, Xtreme clutch, T18 rear. I also currently have an Evo 9, don't ask me why I bought a Hachi as well. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif But I love old Toyotas (my first car was an RA60 Celica), so when I saw this for sale I thought there was some old school RWD fun to be had. Should have the 86 out and about in the next month or two once a few essentials are done. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Hello, I'm Matt from Brisbane. I was infected with the rolla bug by my mate Brad whos been into them for a while now. Just before christmas i purchased a red ae71 spirit sedan and got to work freshening up the exterior and engine. The 4ac was retired this month and a Blacktop 20 valve has been inserted so shes pretty exciting for me now. I want to make this car a fast and agile daily driver, since i commute up to 80km to go o work each day one way.
This will require discs all round, lsd, probably the 4.1 ratio gearset i have for the diff, which should be ok on the highway, new springs and shocks, notlathane bushes.
I just scored some nice wheels so traction should be fine, its just a matter of time now...
Me personally, well I'm a Cabinetmaker by trade with my own business, but i also have a Diploma Of Photography. I was into skateboarding heavily for nine years, including taking photographs that were published in a National Skateboarding Magazine.
Currently I am massively into MMA fighting. (Mixed Martial Arts), and indeed any fighting system or combat sport. Traditionally these sports are massive in Japan. This includes boxing, greco roman wrestling, judo, kickboxing, muay thai, Jui-Jitsu, submission grappling etc. Very interesting and spctacular sport, and it currently sells more pay per views in the USA than Professional Boxing or even WWF. If your a fan too my favourite fighter is BJ Penn.

hi~ my name is incognito and i live in Sydney. i actually don't have an 86 . . .yet. in fact, the initial reason i joined this forum was to find an 86 to buy ha ha.
i use to have a daily driver Lancer Evo and an Rx7 weekend car but a little while ago the daily was stolen so now the Rx7 has the daily duties. which is not very good ha ha thus the search for a clean hachi.
anyway, hope to get to know some people here~! bye!

Yo,
Aaron here. Few guys might recognize me as the noob from toymods (I'm on the list woot).
Anyway, I should get my sprinter by the end of this week and have her on the road next week some time. It's a blood red panda aussie sprinter with a map sensor 4agze and fmic and a few other goodies. It's going to be used as my daily driver, drift car, mountain monster, etc. The way I want to build the car up is so that I can use it for everything, track, street, etc. Just make it a good all rounder.
Cars I've owned in this order: Ra65 xt (still have, selling shortly), s4 n/a fc3s (shitheap), Sa22c Rx7 (fun car, drifted well, sold) and finally my sprinter.
I'm doing the last two subjects of my multimedia degree at monash uni and then I'll probably jump in the line at centerlink... or get a real job, either is good.

hey all, basically just a repost of what I wrote in the waiting area. I'm col, 22, moved to the goldy near the start of this year. got a 1984 Aus spec AE86. It's a project car with my brother, brought it in poor to ok condition, has been given a fair bit of work, needs more before we're finished/happy, slowly getting some things happening with it currently after a lapse of a few months due to moving city and the money side of things which come with that. soon to have some rust cut, panels knocked, new hatch, new paint job and kit, then 4age 16v blue-top, to replace the 4ac, new clutch, reainhard exhaust yadda yadda yadda.
wanna end up with a nice clean daily driver, with some drift potential but it's not really for the track, well not this particular 86 anyways, thats about where it's at at the moment.
basically joined the forums for the knowledge base and the enthusiasts who seem to have a good thing going here.
the 86 is a fun car to have, thats what it's about I guess

hey, I'm Hayden I'm 18 and a Vicco boy. Been looking for a car for about 6 months, looking over ae86dc religiously. Finally found one, my granpa spec 1984 ae86, picked it up this week. Clean as a whistle, awesome base car. Got big plans for it, sick of sinking money into useless shit, want to end up with a clean good result. Probably sounding like a broken record but, ofcourse suspesion, 20v or 3a't'ge conversion and some other little nittie gritties. Dunno how I came upon ae86dc, I think it was after watching too much takumi haha. On here to make some mates and built up my car with the right knowledge. Have fun boys!

hey there! my names daniel, im 20, from eastwood in syd and im in 2nd year uni (doing industrial design at UWS Penrith, Sydney). have been 'drifting' around this forum for a good 6 months now but only registered recently~ im on my 2nd car now-1st one was a 1991 mazda astina sp (really nice one) which i wrote off last year aquaplaning/drifting/fishtailing into a telegraph pole.. now ive got another one but its not as nice..
been checking out a heap of drifting vids etc for the last year or so but last week was the first time i had actually been! went with some mates in an r31 wagon-cut springs and a pod filter and had some fun haha~ i didnt actually drive but in real life drifting seems really violent/hairy compared to all the d1 vids ive been watching... and admittedly i was and am a bit turned off drifting. maybe ill stick to the track.. ill see when i get a rwd car for myself :P
but im still interested in getting an 86 early next year for about 5k (after selling my car) and spraying it black/white (yes im somewhat a initial d fan i'll admit..) but im not a ricer-i take care of cars and really respect these relatively old ae86s. aw11 mr2 is also on the cards, but ill see whats for sale and test drive a few more cars~
