cams for na stock 4age

hi all iv ot a question for all you tech gurus whats the longest duration cam you can put into a 4age running a stock ecu and head
i have heard of a 265 being the biggest you can run on a stock ecu by Sprinterman68 himself but i called camtech today for an inquiry and they said that the 265 was the standard duration on the 4age im a little lost so this would be a great deal of help

256 is not the standard duration at all,

Cam Timings -

Inlet Cam - Duration - Lift

'Big port' 240° 7.56mm
'Small port' 232° 7.1mm
4AGZE 232° 7.1mm

Exhaust Cam - duration - Lift

'Big port' 240° 7.56mm
'Small port' 232° 7.1mm
4AGZE 232° 7.1mm

256' is the most lift u can run on a stock ECU

Have a search on Toymods, I'm pretty sure a friend of mine (cnich82 or similar login) whacked some 272 cams in his stock 4AGE and said they worked and made an improvement. A few years back, so I' mnot sure of details, but he did write something about it.

yeah 265 is apparently the max duration u can use with stock ecu, but if aftermarket prob alot more of a higher limit like 300's

i had 272 8.3lift intake ex is unknown spose to be 288 at this stage in a stock bigport
the thing hammered didnt have problems.
