the 'MU' motor came out of the 197* mx32 cresida and the 'M-TEU' motor came out of the turbo 198* mz10 toyota soarer.
anyone know what manual box wud bolt up to the M-TEU?

The MX32 would originaly have had a W40 or W50 if manual I think (or the historic box that was older than that). So I think any W series box would be the go, but it would have to have a M series bellhousing. I will take a guess and say all M series motors have the same bellhousing bolt pattern, but this may not be correct.
MZ10 Soarer has a W55 alloy box.
Gearbox from a MA61 Supra is your best bet.

If it's true that M engine share bellhousing patterns (I think they would, but have no direct experience) then you can bolt up any box that ever came behind an M series engine, which is almost every W5* and R154. Just find the M series bellhousing for the box.

yeah a friend of a friend of mine used a w55 i think he said for his cressida manual conversion.
