My parklights front and rear are not working aswell as the dash lights.
Everything that is related to the parker switch doesnt work.

Could it be the switch itself or something else?.

Any help would be great.

Cheers Tai tran

check fuses
under the bonnet or in a little compartment in the driver's side kick panel

had it happen to me a few times...i just fiddle with the fuse/switch and eventually it works again

when it goes completely i'll take it apart and figure it out http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif

So is the problem the switch itself?, ive checked all the fuses and they seem allrite.

ok well when its happened to me i could hear a buzzing sound when turning the switch on & off...my thinking is that there's a dirty/dodgy contact somewhere. I havent actually looked at a wiring diagram to see where the fault could occur but basically it would have to either be fuse/switch or relay of somesort

what exactly is happening to yours? parks wont work but headlights do? highbeams? have you metered the circuit? checked the rheostat/dimmer?

edit: ok, found a thread that may be useful...rheostat has prolly had it

Thanks man, yeah i also have that buzzing noise aswell.

My parklight problem is now solved, problem was the actual fuse point/seat in the kickpanel was coroded and had moisture build up in it, therefore affectng the contact.

But the dash lights still not working.???? http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/dry.gif
Thanks Tai

have you fiddled with the dimmer control lately? Its proably had it. In that toymods thread someone mentioned just splicing into another active to give you your dash lights...that could be a temporary fix until you get another rheostat

to move the dash surround you need to pull the wiper & headlight switches off...just pull them towards you...you'll need a socket (14mm maybe) to undo the lock ring on both switches (you'll know what i mean when u see it). Provided all other screws are out it should just lift off

Got it working today, just removed the dash and resoldered the contact points.

Thanks for all your help guys http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif
