For all the imported 86's

Was just wondering if anyone that owns an imported hachi has a steering colum adjuster?( as in lets you move steering wheel up and down). A friend of mine gave me shit because i didnt know where it was after owning my car for so long n he went to show me and i dont got it....
Anyone know anything?

nope mine doesn't have it.. never had pwr steer, air, tilt adjust.. but it has this weird extra light thing..in the parkers..when you indicate and turn a corner the dual filament bulb in the parker lights up, so you can see an extra 10m or so out to the side.. kinda cool, and my 86 is the only one i have seen do it.. there must be more out there!

I have that weird parker switch! it only turns on your parkers and nothing else, no dash lights nothing pretty cool for when u want to stop the car and just have a little bit of light with out having anything running.

no ha ha not that switch, yeh mine has that..but when your drivng with your normal lights on..when you indicate a 2nd light comes on in the parker..

maybe i got it but never noticed.... my lights are shit. Also dont unplug that parker switch thing or they dont work even if you turn them on at the main switch, I thought i blew a fuse for a month or so untill i pluged it back in.

Mine has it. I also have power steering and A/C. I have that corner light too matty.

Mine has a steering colum adjuster and its ADM, also its non-power steering.
Its a 1985 model though.

My gf's ae92 levin has the turnig lights, My car don't have em, I think they are pretty grovey. And all aus sprinters should have tilt adj steering coloums, just not reach/height adj.

keep an eye on the light bulbs... those dual filament ones they don't make in AU..not in that wattage at least.. they look weird if you put normal aussie bay 15 dualies in.. jap ones are a couple of extra watts..

yeh mine had air con when i got it, and i think it had ps because of the ps arms but its a very early modle. I was also thinking about that corner light thingy and remember that my bulbs are only single filament, so no fully sick turning action for me.

yea mine has the steering coloum adjuster , a/c , no power steering , its adm , but late 85 model, unsure about that parker light thing , due to , my parkers are broken , i will find out this weekend , when i pick up my new parkers from toyota

ADM's do not have the parker feature.. they only have the single filament dash type bulb.. the JDM ones (well mine at least) have a dual filament stop light bulb, but a much higher wattage..

In Japan, the steering colum tilt adjustment was on the GT APEX and 1500Lime. It was not on the GTV, GT, SE, SR as they had a fixed colum.

The Australian versions all had the tilt option, and no power steering.

I thought the corner light thing when turning was only on the late model Sprinter Trueno. I did not know Levins had this.

he didnt' say only ae85's had it...he said only GTAPEX and 1500Lime.

this means top of the range ae86's, and top of the range ae85's.

mine's an 83 ADM, and it "had" before it got stripped out, a factory AC system. Also has the tilt switch.
