Hey,

I just got pulled up for my lower driving lights, their 60 watts and i just have them hooked up as normal lights, the cop told me they were too low ??

Their in lower hole, where front bumper bolt sits.

I've seen plenty of cars with lower driving lights, since when is this illegal ?

Yeh. I've heard that too. Driving with your foglights on when there is no fog is illegal, in a built up area. They will book you.

there's a difference between foglights and driving lights, according to the ADR's, btw.

you're allowed to drive with foglights, only when foggy. but you can have driving lights switched on at any time of the day. driving lights can only be white, no yellow allowed, but you'll still have to convince the officer that they're not foglights.

if you're driving with your 'driving' lights on, the headlights must also be on at the same time. if the headlights are off, but parkers are on, then you have foglights.

that being said, driving lights still have a minimum height they have to be at to comply with ADR's.

i had a mate with a VX SS commodore, and he got pulled up for 'foglights', and was told to turn them off. he then proceeded to pull out the owners manual, proving to the officer that these were in fact 'driving' lights, (factory ones, mind you), and that he was by no means turning them off. he then got back in his car and drove off http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif
