Hey all,

I read an article on toymods about the MX62 cressida brakes and struts being used in a hachi. Who else has done this? And if so has it worked well? (no fade etc).

The cressida rotors are vented and only 14mm larger than the stock aussie items. So i was wondering would this be a better setup than stock, for the price. They are also still just one pot calipers too btw. The article mentions something about a XT130 caliper http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/huh.gif which is a 2 pot. What car is this? lol

Yes i know i sound like a n00b

Edit : Just found that xt130 is a corona, would these corona calipers fit on the cressida bracket?

May the search be with you...

Ok:
Yes you can use cressida front brakes on a 86
Yes you can also use RA60 front brakes on a 86
Yes they work quite well (Remembering that 86's are only a 900kg car)
Yes they are much heavier per side than the factory struts
Yes they upset the weight balance
Yes you have to adjust the brake bias
Yes JDM calipers and rotors are the better option

(Sorry to sound like a tool, but this has been OVER covered both on here and toolmods)

I also noticed with my front discs, it doesnt brake well enough for me, is there any recommend pads to use to increase breaking potential?

But i guess thats what you get for putting in a faster engine!.... http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Bendix Metals work really well for me, but you have to use them with slotted rotors.

People rely too much on their brakes...
