Any advice would be appreciated

i had mongoose it was dogs balls, paid so much for it and didnt come with central locking and every time u turned the key in the barrel to just electrical the alarm went off even b4 i started the car paid abt 300 they said it came with central locking and half way during the installation they said it didnt omg.

shitted me nuts

try black widow good price and central locking inc not sure abt the quality ($200-350)

or if u wanna go top range go viper (+$400)

quicktrack is another good brand i trust. its like 400 for the unit and gprs is like 360 per year.

i suggest an alarm for any case. gives u the security u want from teenage n00bs using a fork and screw driver to steal your car.

i had a Vision alarm/immobiliser, the only one at the time that was a genuine 2 point immobiliser..had all the bells and whistles..BUT last weekend the immobiliser died, in the armed position.. so i couldn't do shit!! i had to ripp the whole immobiliser out at 6am on the side of the road outside my mates house.. looked kida sus to the neighbours, specially cos i had to clutch start it too!! after 2 years of faithfull service the vision died, the guys that installed it (autobarn) gave me the override code etc.. but nothing worked..he said that the visions are good for doing this sorta stuff.. spose it was only $200 fitted http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

Just to let you know about the Viper Alarms on Ebay. Viper included a limetime warranty on their alarm. Sometimes when making them the may get a fault so they don't want that alarm and they get rid of it. The people on ebay get that alarm and fix it up but no warranty and sometimes parts are missing. Just be careful

Cheers
