about as easy to put a clutch in any other RWD car.

it goes in a few steps:

1. pull out engine and gearbox

2. throw away 4AC and attatch 4AGE (oh, hold on)

2. seperate geabox from engine

3. remove pressure plate and flywheel

4. get new pressure plate and clutch disc

5. get flywheel machined

6. re-attatch flywheel

7. put clutch disc on, bolt flywheel on making sure to align the friction plate

8. re-attatch gearbox

9. put gearbox/engine back in car.

if you are in melbourne i have a 4AC machined flywheel, clutch and pressure plate with not too many Ks on it, replaced clutch then did 4AGE conversion about a year later.

well in mine the diaphragm spring broke, pays to adjust your friction point properly.

if your dad is a mechanic he should know that cluitches can wear out for no aparent reason some times ................
hahhahaha he thinks you have been doing wheelies
just get him to check yeah tyres if you have one should be worn more than the other well thast is if you have an open centre

Lol better learn how to change a clutch then!

Its not that hard really, if you want to be cheap about it you can skip the flywheel machining bit, if the flywheel is not too bad you can get away without machining it. Your dad may have a runnout guage to check it with if he is a mech.

You dont need to take out the engine, just the gearbox, I've done it both ways and find benching the gb easier than taking all the crap off the engine. For your first time it should take a day, if you do it a few times you should get it down to a few hours...

remember to check the bell housing for oil, if there is any oil in there go seal replacing crazy, gearbox input shaft seal, rear main seal all up should cost about $20, well worth doing it properly the first time
