whens the best time to take photos?

Early morning or late afternoon, when the light is not a harsh.

You'll find colours will appear all washed out in full sunlight, but that said you can still get okay results.

Late afternoon or nighttime. Most of my car pic's are taken in between 8pm-12pm. And bmx/skate is 4pm-7pm

All depends on your camera and what result you aiming for tho...

for cars I find that you get a great result on a realllly overcast day... make sure to use a good camera and a tripod.
