Dave, how do the corona arms compare to the sigma arms? With sigma you need ra40 tie rods right, you don't need them with corona? Do they give the same track increase?

10mm track each side increase
no u dont need ra40 tie rods

i bought ra40 control arms the other day
would i need to adjust the tie rod ends or the shaft that connects to the steering rack?

You need longer tie rods apparently for ra40/65 LCA's

... Okay, some one seriously needs to do a tech artical on the sigma control arm mod coz i get sooooooooo confused....

Yes Sigma arms WILL require RA40 tie rods however im unsure weather RA40 amrs require longer tie rod.
XT130 corona arms will NOT require longer tie rods. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

thats where you are half correct...
you also need the ra40 adjuster tube...
which might only cost $20 or so, but would take an hour of your time by the time you get to the wrecker etc.....
the ends are only half the deal....
pics of what? it is a lower control arm...

Are the sigma control arms longer then the corona http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/huh.gif ?
poh_86
2nd March 2006, 07:18 PM
yes. dunno exact figures
but fitting them u have to shave off parts of the arm to fit
another idea is rebolting the hole on the sprinter arm further out
or cutting off the arms on both and welding up to give u uber -camber

yeah i was sure u needed longer tie rods....
the ae86 ones only adjust from one side, the ra40 ones adjust from both sides, so u can wind em out more to fit...the ae86 ones may work, but will only be on a few threads...
