OK, well my mate has an RA60 Celica and it has some oil leaking from holes in his rocker cover (pictured)
do you know if its possible to fix this with gasket silicone, or seal them up by any other means? or will this harm the engine?
What can he do to fix it, it gives him the shits! (no "get a new engine" replies please)
thanks!

Take it apart. Clean. Re-assemble with a tube of silicon.

the whole motor or just the rocker cover?
the oil is coming out the breather hole and the other one at the rear that goes into the carby.
is it bad to block the breather?
thanks

ok we are gonna fix the pcv but as for the front one, the breather, what do we do?
he used to have blue smoke out the exhaust a lot but its died down a lot recently.
i take it you cant block the breather either but so much oil comes out.
thanks for all the help so far

First id find out why the oil isnt going into/out of the hoses.
Exess blowby, hmm maybe.
Id start with the PCV first, clean with carby/throttle cleaner and/or replace as required, maybe new cromets as well. (i think they used a type of rubber cromet for those motors)
Cheers
Steve
