im about to do this to a spare smallport 4age i have laying around, just wondering how would i go about the tvis relay? im pretty sure the tvis relay would have to be plug in to something to work? maybe just plug it in to the tvis relay but not connected to anything?

ill be using all bigport accessories (injectors, dizzy, loom, etc..)
i know this has been done but couldn't get any info on it?

any ideas? http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/7/5/4/536981.jpg

thanks

so whats the question? what about the tvis relay? shit that your not using.. DON'T PLUG IT IN... i don't even have a cold start injector on mine.. or TVIS.. or an O2 sensor, and a few other sensors i'm not using either..

exactly. you cant run the tvis throttle butterflys on your small port with alot of f***ing around, so dont bother. just leave it all out.

so i dont need to plug in the tvis relay?

i was planning just putting the tvis relay plug in without the tvis all together

but would a stock ecu still run with out the tvis relay?

cheers

yes the stock ecu will run fine with none of the below plugged in..

O2 sensor
yellow 2 pin plug in inlet manifold (not sure what it does!)
cold start injector
T-vis
air temp sensor (if fitted)
brown water housing plug at the back of the head (green one has to be AFAIK)

i think there are a few others, but so far those are the ones i have found..the ecu might not like it.. but it will start and run fine..

you may not get the best fuel economy as the ecu won't be able to compensate fully for cruise maps/air temp etc.. but you won't notice a massive difference http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

yellow 2 pin plug in inlet manifold (not sure what it does!) next to the cold start? that is air temp.

i agree with the rest but the air temp you might wanna keep that, and maybe the other water temp sensor too.

Green one on the back of the head is the water temp for the ecu, yes you will need this one. And no, the one at the front of the head is the cluster water gauge, has nothing to do with the ecu.

Brown one is the thermotime switch for the coldstart. Which wouldnt be needed if coldstart isnt plugged in.

Yes yellow 2 plug on inlet is for the airtemp, not that it reads right anyways, only reads heatsoak.

Cheers
