I bought a remote central locking kit off ebay and it came with no instructions at all. I have no expirience wiring a car. Where can I connect it to a +11 power and where should I ground it?

Thanks people.

I just tried installing it. I disconnected my stereo and used the power for the stereo to power the central locking I hooked it all up and it worked fine. I took it apart to install the actuators into the doors and then connected it back up again. At this point several bare wires on the actuator touched each other the actuator moved once then I couldnt get it to move again. I disconnected the central locking and re-connected my stereo and that doesnt work either. I replaced the inline fuse to the stereo and the one in the fuse box and still nothing works. What am I missing?

have you tried checking all your fuses, there is more than one fuse that goes to the stereo http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif
check all your fuses then check to make sure all your ground points ok http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I have checked the fuse in the fuse box and the one inline right before the stereo. They looked ok but I replaced them anyway but I think I may have bought the wrong one for the inline fuse.

Thanks for the response.

Check your earths/accessories connections on the stereo head unit, did you check both fuse boxes? Theres one in the drivers side kick panel aswell as the engine bay.
