It's LFS, nothing you can do but kick them for a warning, i cant be on the computer babysitting everyone on the server. That's why ive given certain guys admin.

If they kick you, just give me a PM with there names and ill ban them whenever they join again, it's not really that hard.

Plus, my server was down all night so you didnt get kicked from mine, therefor i can't do anything about it.

Plus, the smileys dissapear in a few seconds anyway so it's nothing to get worked up about.



Also, there will NOT be a password on it.
For one, not many DC guys join it.
Second, the more people in the server the more fun it is, no one joins when theres 1 person in it, and that 1 person leaves after a few minutes.
Third, it's to much of a hassle to go around PM'ing one the server details.

Just got the Demo recently. The sound adjuster thing makes a huge difference IMO. Got my Starion turbo thing sounding like a worked 4AGZE too.

Also, I was watching that replay of Lammi's drifting, and noticed I can select 'Test Drive' and drive his car. My question is, if I got a replay of someones antics in a car available in S1 and S2, would I be able to test drive it in the demo?

Well this is gay, i got banend by some David feller because i was trying to drift in a FWD the small hatch car. After he kicked me i went back into it with the same car and went to drift again, and he said "how many days do you want to be banned for" and i say why what am i doing, im trying to drift with a FWD. The he said change it, so i drove for a few seconds more then decided to pit and change cars, as i was half way down pit (i was in the XRT) he said Cya and i got banned...

You also have to realise that it is EXTREMELY annoying when you get stuck behind a slow GTI mid corner.

it's about $50, and it's worth much more than that. s2 shits all over demo. demo is full of 13 year olds who think it's grand to smash and flood. Downloaded the S2 demo and it looks really good....loving the idea that you can compete against a full grid of "real people" instead of bot cars.

I'm no super tech freak but I'm having some trouble with the screen becoming very choppy, especially when other cars are in the mix. Would this be due to a shite graphics card?

Offline then yes. Although it doesn't take much at all to run LFS, you probably need some more RAM or something.

If that happened during online gaming, it was probably your internet connection. I've got fast ADSL, and I still lag during a race restart.

I've been on the AE86DC server pretty regularly under [smr]deNs, and it's generally one of the better servers. Though like any demo server, you get some complete 'tards just ruining everyone's day. Will have S1 or S2 pretty soon, so will be able to play some other tracks online too.

Might post a couple of pics up soon too. Got tons of replays I need to go through at some stage...

Just had an idea. What if you guys held a weekly drift battle night for people on here? So you'd password the server for that evening from like 8-10pm on a weeknight or something, and get a few people judging drifts and having 2 or even 3 car battles on blackwood. Wouldn't require much to organise/setup and it could work really well.

It could be that you're driving an XRT non-turbo, and everyone else is using the GT. They look the same, only the GT (turbo) has a small bonnet scoop.

Just to clear a couple of things up.

The S1/S2 or even pre-S1 demo are all free. The only difference between them is the changes in the changes to the cars, the game engine itself and the changes that they've made to blackwood over the years. You've always needed to pay for S1/S2, and it's about AU$30 for S1, but since everybody plays S2 pretty much, it's AU$60 for that, or AU$30 to move from S1 to S2.

Additionally, I actually prefer that the server doesn't have LFSLapper on there. It's nice for trying to get a huge score, but personally I prefer to focus on the style of drifts. Nope. People have made takumi-style skins to make the XR Turbo look like a trueno, but in the demo version, unless everyone else has the skin you do, they won't see it. This is a simulator, and instead of focusing on brands, it's instead more about car handling and realistic physics.
