Hi
I'm wanting to relocate my battery to the boot and I was just cruising around looking for info. I saw the guide on toymods but i was thinking it would be cool if one of you guys who has done this could post an ae86 specific diy guide for poor fools like me!! Anyways Just an idea. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I want to do this too. But having just stuffed my stereo trying to install central locking i'm not exactly inspired with confidence. A writeup would be great.

I suck at wiring http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

i have been told its best to run the negative up on the motor, and use the thickwire (25sqmm) so there little voltage drop, and a charge cable for the alternator (6sqmm). and of corse a positive to the engine bay (25sqmm)

running a charge cable is "best practice" but cause yous sprinter guys are all cheap, you can just connect it to the positive cable and let it feed back.

i really don't see whats so technicle about it!?

buy a battery box..
buy 5M of at least 4G amp cable
a few terminals..
mount battery box in boot..
run wire through car..
connect amp wire, to factory wires/terminals in the engine bay.. mount them to platsic, neaten /shorten/ trim etc wires as needed..

it's not like rebuilding an engine or anything.. it's just like running an amp in your boot.. just swap the amp with a battery, and the battery with a rubber/plastic bulk head mounted to the body.. simple..
