hey if you know what the slave master clyinders look like on these, there is small rubber bit on the end of that extends out to push in the thing inside the gearbox

sorry, my technicall terms suck balls http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif

the one on mine is pretty corroded and just seems like it obviously needs to be replaced. Would i have to get one of these delivered from toyota? or should it be easy enough to just find one at a toyota wreckers?

any info helps

thanks

If its pretty corroded it might b time for a new slave cylinder as the seals r most likely worn too.......u can get new ones fairly easily from parts places like global, repco, bursens etc.

Im assuming u have a T-50? so thats what youll have to ask for it doesnt matter what engine (4ac,4age) just gearbox.

they arent too exspensive from memory?

thats it there... the rubber thing im hold i figure needs to be replaced, the cylinder itself doesnt seem to need replacing but its probly worth doing

Yeh just buy a new one, you can bet that if you replace the rubber you will be replacing the cylinder pretty soon.

It would nearly cost as much to buy a repair kit. Then to just buy a new one. There cheap any way.

Or you could bore it out a little and use bigger piston form a different car.

I did. cost me $40

Made clutch a little lighter on the foot, only a small amount. Wasnt worth it really, but meh?

be carfull if the bore is worn it might leak... $17 for the kit inside it.. or go to auto barn and get the whole cast thing, with everything in it for $47 i paid for mine.. normal retail price!! repco are litterally 3 times more expensive in this 1 part alone.. and trade at repco for this part = RRP at autobarn.. how that works i dunno!

... i was wandering what you were on about when you said "slave master"!!!! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif

so it's you clutch slave cylinder...

just get a new one man, they aren't that much and it'll probably need replacing by this time anyway if the boot around it is wrecked

when you get a JDM 86 then you have things to worry about.. the slave is on the drivers side.. i bought new slave and master cyl.. only to find out the slave is different on the jdm's.. it's identicle to the ADM one as far as mesurments etc go.. but it's an exact mirror image! so i did the dodgy and pulled the guts out of the new one.. roughed up the inside a little of the old one with some 1200 sandpaper.. and chucked it back together.. it's about time for me to do it proply though.. i't weaping a little.. stainless sleev here we come http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif
