stearing rack into stearing coloum

um has anyone had to put a stearing coloum into a stearing rack whilst everything is still in the bay. i can get it in a little bit but not all the way.

anyone got some tips for me..

When you look at the steering rack uni joint you should see a split in it, this is so you can tighten them together, if you remove the locking bolt, then get a flat blade screw driver and knock it gently in the slot to open it all up. That should alow the collum to drop in no worries. I hope that makes sence

try spraying some crc on the uni joint and the rack/collumn to ease it on better, as they can get pretty oxidised.

yeah ta will give both things a go, i tryed opening up the slit but i couldnt really get anything in there cuz to much shit in the way
