I use a GT28RS, also .wolfwood (sorry if spelt wrong) does too. I think they are a bit laggier than the HKS2510, but fun when it hits http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

im not making fun. but you cant give an informed oppinion just yet thats all.

ive driven an 86 with an ae92 type 4agze, ae101 engine management, decent sized front mount and gt28rs. only runnning 8-10psi. it was pretty damn fast, but definately was a little laggy.

it was nickAE86 off these forums car. ask him.

yes we cant give.. umm... info out it really cuz no we dotn have our cars running, if some one would do my wiring for me then i would have it running. and could take it for a run around my area to see what its like.

shouldnt be to laggy, and i will be running about 18 - 20psi.

not sure how long my motor will last cuz it seems a bit dodgy but hey a 4agze itsnt really that expensive. although its more than what i have atm.

yeah i wish i'd bought a 2510...hard to find second hand & twice the price as a gt28 new....so the decision was kinda made for me http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif

but seriously i wouldnt go any larger than one of the gt28 variants. Once i get an aftermarket ecu a good tune will help with the lag...that said its not toooo bad in its present form but for response definately try to source a 2510 first

^this page should help with the differents GT models....helps to compare the a/r, trim & diammeter. Obviously with turbos of this size you cant escape lag on a 1.6L so low numbers help

lol first run on the dyno @ 11psi with the new turbo spun the big end on my 101 motor.

what turbo do people use on 4age/4agze ??[/b]

most people seem to run with a t28, gt or 2510 these days. The td04/5 is good...theres a few 4a's getting around with them. Theres a few more but not coming to mind atm

oh wel i will run 10 and go from there, i also have a motec so that might help with lag and its diffrent for all cars depending on manafold and fmic and ecu and all that shit

btw nic what hp did you make on what eva boost you run?

NickAE86

depends on the condition of the motor really...yours could quite happily see 18psi day in day out. Wont know till you try it...if it blows it just means you get to pull it apart and stick more goodies in the internals http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

first dyno run gave 207 rwhp on 10psi...standard everything with exception to a Malpassi

it seems to have faded a bit since then.

T25g off SR20DET are a good start, not much lag but fine for 6/12 psi. Just depends on engine and setup, as most of us use our cars for street. On low boost both T28 and T25 have the same peak power at 8psi but one will have a wider power band. On high boost its a little different, if your engine is std then smaller is better from a street / drift point of view.

thats achievable with the right boost & ecu i'd think. 250 atw on stock internals...not sure about that one...you'd definately be at its limit. I read somewhere that 250 at the engine is the most you can reliably run before having to beef up the internals but thats just heresay & depends alot on the condition of the motor

agree with you there omy. First turbo i had was an ihi rhb5 vf7 (i think) from a gtx familia....fark me did it have some response...it ran out of puff a tad early for what i wanted it for but it got there damn quick
