Im pissed and fustrated...friend was helping me jump start the hachi and the http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/rant.gif idiot left the key in...after connecting everything the hachi went "snap" "crackel" and "pop". The car doesnt start at all...

After getting a new battery, still no good http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif checked all the fuses and there still all good

Electonic things that work: Headlights, hazards lights and the light on the dash thats says "Charge".

Things that dont work: The lights on the rear end, dash, heat/fan, interior light and most other lights. The hachi doesnt start, no clicks or anything. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

Can anyone help me diagnose the problem? HELP!!!!

I have a scrapped hachi for part, hopefully i can replace the problem.

Oh, im still running a 4ac, if that helps.

Thanks all

RaY

Fusable link on the positive battery terminal?

I wouldn't have thought so since he does have his headlights working. You should check if the bulbs in the lights that don't work are actually blown!! That might narrow down the problem!!

it could be one of the fusable links... there are two of them... when one blew in my car the lights continued to work... so it could be that.

EDIT: tail and dash lights are on a fuse in the kick panel...

have you checked all the starter and ignition relay's /fuses and yeah i would just replace both main fuses as precautionary. i had similar prob before, i just pulled both the main fuses (=ve terminal fuses) and put them back in then everything was ok. couldn't hurt to try that

if it's the fuseable link the lights will continue to work but the engine wont start like the others guys said check all the other fuses , otherwise electrical is so trial and error sometimes it's woth going to a auto elec to check it , but alas i know a real hachi owner doesnt have any money or gf lol
