hey guys,
just wondering if any one knows how much power the stock 4agze injectors are good for?
also, any opinions on what is the best EMS to run for a 4AGTE?
thanks

How much you want to send on a ems? most brands in aust are good, just comes down to the tune not the type.
gze injectors are - 375cc which will max around 280hp or 208kw. depending on base rail pressure.

If you have the money, most tuners will tell you Microtech is the best. Differences are only slight between alot of brands though, and it does come down to what will suit your application. In terms of auxillaries needed, different features etc.
Microtech does have a good customer support though, and are quick to help you out unlike some other EMS companies which can take a while. Talk to your tuner about what they reccomend or prefer to work on, this will most likely get you the best results

so, stock injectors will be fine for 200rwkw? im not sure how much im willing to spend on EM, but id like 200rwkw or close. What sort of boost would you need for this? and is there anything else that would be recomended for this output, ie cams, headwork etc etc?

if your using an aftermarket ECU i would go with some 7MGTE injectors. they wont be anywhere near their max duty cycle that way and there will be room for improvement.
what kinda engine are you talking....i guess you are going turbo???

200kw is at the engine, so 185rwkw.

so 7mgte injectors are a direct fit? with the rail also?
im talking about a 4AGTE.

So RWD drivetrain loss is only 7.5%??? Although it's debated, generally the minimum figure is around 15%. I generally go by a 20% loss so around 160-170rwkw.
7mgtes are a direct fit and are low impedance too.

what sort of boost does a 4AGZE require to get around 200kw at the fly?

^^^^ That depends on the turbo and the rest of your setup.

why would it depend on the turbo? jus say the fuel/ignition and EMS were taken care of, what psi/bar is needed for that figure?

You must mean MOTEC.
Microtech are electric carburetors compared to the top few ECU's. There's HUGE differences in the various ECU's, with the bette5r ones being very nearly as good as the factory ones.
Support for Motec's is vastly better than Microtech, unfortunately not the case for Autronic. Haltech is not too bad.

Because turbos all have different efficiency ranges. eg, 2 identical engines running 20psi.... power outputs would differ if they're using different turbos. The kind of power you're talking about, alot of turbos wont be able to get there (note i mean turbos that wont be stupidly laggy on a 4a)so no matter how much boost you try and pump through it, the power just plateus off.
In general, you'd have to pump about 20+psi to generate 200+rwkw but why are you so desperate to crack an imaginary figure? Would you be very disappointed if you only happened to make 190rwkw???

Forgot to answer the question! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif
GZE injectors are good for 292hp at the flywheel.

GZE injectors are 365cc... not 375cc... http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif what pressure are you gonna run?? if you have a rasising rate malpassi and decent pump.. like a walbro 255.. you can safley push the envelope a bit furhtur.. but 7MGTE ones are a straight swap... and at 440cc.. why wouldn't you!

thanks guys for all your help so far. no, 190rwkw would be fine, even less would do. i was just wondering what it takes to get a 4AGZE making a good amount of power, without dramaticly reducing its lifespan? or is it a far better option to just go with something like a CA?

CA's don't come with factory forgies... but they have an extra 200cc..
it's all in the tune.. 150rwkw in an 86 is plenty to get your heart going.. my GZE made 104rwkw and ran consistant high 13's...

what mods did your gze have?

extractors.. just those off the shelf 4-1's... 2.25 mandril exhsut.. fabricated front mount.. and the bypassed ABV.. made about 10.44psi..
consecutive high 13's http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif
later on.. i ported the head..bigport cams.. 3SGE throttle body.. and it went even better! but never made it official down the track..

I have a 4agte with stock injectors and standard GZE computer.
Makes about 155rwkw before it starts to lean out.
Also if you are going for 200rwkw, use somthing bigger than 7mgte injectors.

Yerp or series 5 rx7. 550cc but not an ideal spray pattern (meh).
As far as ECU goes. Find a tuner with a good reputation/skill then use what they are good at tuning/reccomend. With big injectors like that on a gze you would want sequential firing.
