So ill be looking for a job straight after to save up some cash.
Now im not good with numbers/Maths.
What would be available for a 15yo? Maybe something to do with audio? I was thinking maybe stacking shelves for a audio shop or something. How would i go about asking if there were any spots for employment? >_<

my advice is apply for a fast food job cos usually they need people and while u have that job start applying at other places,
it will also look good on ur resume as u will already b working, plus u will be getting experience plus some cash while u look for a better job to earn more cash

Yea, as i said. Ide probably have to do the counter work stuff aswel. And im not that good with maths. I did consider it for a while.
There was a guy on leach hiway i use to talk to heaps that ran an audio shop. He made his own subs and stuff, but he re-located and his websites down ;/ Was going to ask him.

It really doesn't matter if you're not good at maths. The computer/calculator does it all for you.
My cousin works at the counter every shift and she doesnt even do maths in year 11 she's that bad. Not sayin you should work the counter. But yeah, that's what i'd want to be doing anyway, stacking shelves....

Yea. Ide still rather prefer a job away from maths. But if i wont be able to find any ill have to.
Theres a audio shop a few streets down from me, might ask if they need any help.
HOw would i go about it?

just dress smart casual, ask to speak to manager, if there be polite have a chat so they will remeber u and hand them ur resume, if their not there just drop ur resume off.
what ever u do dont include a pic on ur resume, only do so if u are having an interview with them! so they can remember who u are.
"PAD" out ur resume as much as possible because i can tell u that a 5+page resume plus covering letter look a hell ova a lot better than 3 pages. i will assume that your resume will be "small" as im also assuming u wouldnt hava had that much work experiance. some pointers to padding out ur resume, include everything u have competed in, inside and outside of school, and example of it is i did a couple of karate lesson when i was younger i just put
19XX Something Somethin Karate
It makes it look like u did a year of the "thing/sport/job" but in reality only was a couple of months.
the more stuff you put down the more dedicated and trust worthy the employer will think you r so there for more likely to hire you
but as ur 15 it will probably be easy to get a job somewhere that hires heaps of people bcos quite frankly u will be seen as cheap labour
sorry for the HUGE reply just hope it helps u get a step closer to ur 86

Thanks for the tips, and by sports, i guess you dont mean computer gaming competitions? http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif
Im not much of a sporty type and ive had no work experience at all yet. (Not for a business anyway)
Im kind of knowledgeable in car audio and such.
And i dont really care what the pay is, anything is better then nothing at this stage.

I live really close to the city, not exacly many "isolated" fast food places around http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif
Otherwise that would of been an awsome idea.

Type up a resume, and go hand it in anywhere and every where, my recommendations would be to just stick with the bigger companies as the like the slave labour wages of younger people.
bigg ups to super cheap , good to work there, they like the younger kids, i hardly get anymore shifts when I was in aus because of u younger guys lol

Fast food doesnt mean you work over the counter, I worked at Red Rooster as a food prep, and at an Italian Restaurant during yr 12 washing dishes for $11 an hour.. Shit work, good pay while your in school, Unless you spend your time counting how many dishes you wash to pass the boredom i think you will be sweet;). Like they say, Beggers cant be Choosers. Not many places you'll be able to get a job at 15 besides what everyone else has said.

Supermarkets pay way more than any fast food outlet. And the work is heaps better. Just dont treat your job like school, or your bosses will walk all over you.

man when i was at that age i was getting paid at 5.20 an hour....
so avoid working at shit places like kfc, maccas, red rooster shit..
something like fruit markets, bottling companies, cleaning contractors ive heard theyre pays are awesome.. but youll miss out on customer interaction n shit..
but it saves you goin to the gym..
since youre after something like stacking items on shelves, it would pretty much highly likely will involve with numbers.. (we see them in everyday basis..)
but dont worry about numbers man youll one day get around it..

Just get a job at Coles. They have a decent pay rate, you'd be on about $8 something an hour being 15. It's not hard work, it's not fun work but it's money. I've been in a coles deli for 2 years now. I can't fucking stand the place but it paid for my car and it's experience of sorts.

Go for the cleaning contractor man. Easy as job, no numbers, no social interaction (put your ipod on or risk boring yourself to death), good pay. beware of back pain after 2 years of it tho.

In the thing you hand to the manager,
list all of those stupid tests that you did in primary and secondary.. those math competition things. NSW Maths Competitions, etc. And maybe make up some bull about you being captain of some team (Shows leadership and responsibilty). Also might want to add like goals that you would like to achieve etc.

be a storeman for Woolworths, Coles or IGA. one of those big companies
I use to work as a Storeman for woolworths, was getting paid $28 a hr to pick and pack. Almost as much as any above average paying job. I loved the pay check when I recieved 800-900 a week. It was awsome. Heheehe
