Ok, ran into a problem today when tightening the one of the bolts that attach the front bumper to the chassis (picture below). Got it half way in when suddenly the nut/threaded thing welded inside the chassis rail broke off http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif

So now have a bolt that's half in that I can neither tighten nor remove. Any ideas on how to get it out? Will I have to cut a hole in the rail to get at the nut?

Simple task just became very complex http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/rant.gif

i'll have to have a look at my rail when i get home, but from memory there is no access hole.

you may have to remove the plastic bumper from the bumper supports, then you'll have access to cut the bolt with a grinder. however don't know yet how you'll get the other half out of the rail.

there is an access panel in the drivers footwell under sound deadening that would be big enough to get it out of, however i don't know how you'd get it there!

Ok, will try rattle gun before cutting holes. What did you do about reattaching it though?
