nah you can get inacurate readings like that

you get a short lead from a car with a dissy then put one end on plug like normall then wrap some insulation tape round other end of lead to make it fatter then push into the coil pack, then put timing probe around the lead like normal :thumbup:

3rz being the 2.7l motor from the hilux/hiace? i know they can make power, but dont rev to much (so im lead to belive) and wouldnt take one over a 1uz? correct me if im wrong?

1UZ's are refined as, but the early non-vvti ones are limited in their ability to have power extracted from them cheaply. After you've done intake, exhaust and aftermarket ECU, where do you go? 4 cams, 8 aftermarket / custom pistons and rods, a supercharger? The choices are there, but they're not cheap for the most part.

A 3RZ has good aftermarket support (and in saying that, i don't mean that there's NO aftermarket support for the 1UZ, quite the opposite, but the 3RZ is fairly hueg in the states) and can make retarded power. They can also certainly rev if you have the support systems in place to allow it, as with any motor.

dont worry i did my beams conversion in 2 weeks. 3 weeks later and i still havent got it running PROPERLY.
one tuner has had a crack at it. was at his workshop for a week. i blamed him, he blamed sensors. haha.
anywho after alot of trouble shooting, missing was getting worse. got injectors serviced seemed to mostly fix the problem.
now its booked in at another tuner for tuesday.
he better fix it because i am seriously getting the shits.
conversion was finished almost a month ago.

Borrowed the spare CAS from the workshop. Now i have a fair idea of my problem.

Since i failed to find a proper dizzy plug i just bodged it up wit some female terminals. Its worked befor so i should again right? Well sort of, If i pull the cunt apart and just hook the CAS up and turn it all the triggers work fine. Re-reassemble it all back to gether an only one trigger works.

My theory = Theres so much noise generated when cranking that is causing the ecu to not pick up the triggers. Which i think is because i did a bodgy on the plug.

Solution = drink more beer.

started it up again today. Alternator is wired wrong, has a water leak and it burnt my finger. But i got the tacho working and did something else i cant remember. Oh and i forgot to take the rags out of the intake when i started it. Was funneh!

I need a radiator cap before i go any further. has a 4000rpm cold rev limit.

Well that front bar didnt last long. Got to the end of my driveway and all i hear is SSSCCCCRRRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPP. It now has a few rashes.

Cars bullshit tho. So loud with no exhuast, so fucking stiff and to top it off i forgot to check the powersteering, so i drove it disconnected, shits easier to turn than my ke. And it has a smaller turning circle to top it off.
