I assume you are talking about the LT10s - there is no LTx10.

It depends what igniters you are using. If you are using the Microtech X4 unit and running individual coilpacks, I would strongly suggest using the Bosch HEC0715 coils that Microtech supply. Then you can Guarantee that it will work, and they will happily support it.

You can use other igniters, such as the stock Toyota ones, Bosch stand alone (like from a camira), MSD, M&W, etc. and use whatever coil on the other end you like, but you MUST tell them exactly what you're going to be using BEFORE you buy the unit. They have to configure some stuff on there that is not user modifiable. If you don't tell them and it doesn't work, it's a send back to Microtech and a $180 reconfiguration.

Yeah when you buy it direct from Microtech it comes with the x4 unit. so i was going use the microtech inbuilt ignitor and then 4 coils. i just wondered if the coils you get from microtech could be bought from anywhere else cheaper.. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/2thumbs.gif

Thanks for that!

The coils you get from Microtech come with nice alloy brackets - and they are only $150 for 4 coils. I don't think you can get them much cheaper than $37.50 a coil. But I could be wrong, go to supercheap/repco, etc. and ask for a price on BOSCH HEC0715 Coils.

You can also use mr2 twin coils, but you'd have to run them on a wasted spark system... bosch coils should work fine though. Do you know how much the 4x coil splitter box is? i want one for my car.
