id go for some 195/50's or 195/55
or 205/50 if you want a little bit more width

tyre mashing?!?!?!?

195/50's will be fine, from memory the rewinds are a zero offset 7 inch rim, so at most you will have to roll your guards (fold the lip under, no big deal)

depends what height you run your car at really

get 195/50's on them, fit them and see what happens, it won't be hard to solve any rubbing issues as they should only be slight.

what about going 225's x 50 or is that too big?

dont bother going with wider than 195x50 they stretch on the rim and reduce sidewall flex!

185/60 is a good size on a budget, as increased sidewall height makes up for the reduced width, so less sidewall flex. can be picked up cheaper than lower profile tires, too, cause they're pretty taxi spec.

235 sits square wit a 7 inch wide rim any more and ur gunna be in flexville any less and ur gunna get some good response http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif

What about 185/55/15s on 15x7 0 offset.. lowered?
Will the increase in profile vs decrease in width still scrub?

Wider tyres = more grip,

but how noticable i grip and accelation improvement in 195 over 185s?
( I ask cos I coudlnt wait 1 week for 195s and opted for 185s on special today)

195's sit perfect on 7.5's. But I had 195's on my 7's and they were ok. Wouldn't go any wider.

235's?!?!?!?! :fap:

60 profile?!?!?!?! :fap:[/b]

listen to this guy!!

60 profile = ballooon stylin, we dont like balloon stylin around here

i got 195/50 on 7's, ive been running 185/60 last few weeks (different wheels), and the grip difference is significant, 185/60=to much tire wall flex, and not enough fubber on the road, i also had 205/60, i found this tyre to be too wide (to heavy steering) scrape on everything, and extremely balloon like. very grippy though.
