I need some photos of the alternator bracket option for the gze like the 4afe bracket and so on. I think I have that but I'm not sure because it doesn't line the pulley up and I don't feel like modding it unless absolutely necessary.

Im using a 5sfe 70amp alternator becuase i got it cheap and its just been reconed

Late Camry http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif, and yes it has the same 'housing' ie all the mounting points are the same as a 4age actuator as is the pulley placing

Any help will be greatly appreciated http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

Could be a 4afe bracket iv tried one an it lined up ok, but it put the alternator on the extractors, cos im using a 4age one. Im currently building a custom job out of the standard side plate thing with provision for p/s, a/c and alternator at the bottom.

Iv already cut and ground up the alternator part, iv tested it an its going to line up perfect and sit just below the the oil filter which is perfect. Now i need to drill a new hole, get longer bolts and weld some bolts to the bottom of it so it sits flush tp the block.

I know its hard to understand without pics but ill be posting a writeup when im finished. I started this 3 weeks ago a havent been able to get to the workshop since, hopefully finish it on friday.

I was originally running the standard bracket which puts the alternator on the swaybar and whoever did it ground up the alternator a bit, complete nobski. Being standard it lines up perfect with the pulley but sits wrong on the tensioner pulley which made it seeze an fuck out at the last track day.

Im gonna try an also use a 4afe tensioner part. I was planning on building the bracket from scratch, then realised i could hack up the old plate to work pretty easy, if it works, lol.

Jason, i worked on it today, an by god, its goin to work fantastically. The car lives at Banzai but iv been using my old mans workshop so the parts are here and their but hopefully put it all together soon and take pics.

*EDIT*
i forgot to mention it looks a lil dodgie but will be perfect, also requires a standard gze side plate thing which mounts all supportive parts (a/c, p/s, alter).
