Currently doing a blacktop 20v conversion in a mates car and was wondering if...

1. is the VVT controlled and actuated by oil pressure, or does the ECU have some part in this, and can this be controlled with a microtech?

2.where is the switch for the vvt, be it ether electrical or oil pressure driven?

3. does anyone have a ecu pin wiring diagram for the blacktop motor?

you mean on the front of the engine, just under the front of the exhaust cam?

i also noticed that it has 2 oil pressure switches, well that's what they look like.. one is, just at the front of the block on the exhaust side, and one under the throttle bodies, in the centre of the block

1. Actuated by oil pressure and switched by the ECU, the silver and blacks are slightly different.

2. It sticks out ths side of the head I believe. Have just been researching this for other reasons. Bilzilla's website covers this in detail and was very helpful. All makes sense now!

3. Yes they are on club 4AG
