it is not in production anymore, but it was a crancshaft and con rods, which had deeper stroke, bringing the output of the 4AG to 1.7 liter.
if you want more output, go to the next junk yard, and get yourself the 7A-FE block with internals and accessories, get a porche 924 timing belt, and install the 4AG pistons on the 7A block, put the 4ag timing belt crank pulley adn you will go 1.8 liter, in a much cheaper manner!
7a-fe's could be found in early avensis, some carina E's, some celicas as well.

Edit: Club 4ag had some info about this back int he day. let me see if I can find it.

Here it is: http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20tech_pa...%20and%207A.htm (http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20tech_pages/5A%20and%207A.htm)

Waste of money for the power output increase. Some people think they are great but they are probably JDM fanboys if anything. Aside from the crank The also run different pistons (custom crown height) and rods. The block must be ground so they rods don't hit the side. As has been stated above, 7AGE hybrids will deliver more power, cheaper and you can get the bits for them if you break them.

I have a 5AG and think it's great. Mine made reasonable power with pretty small cams, resrictive exhust and restrictive throttle. And it makes loads of torque!!
This is coming from someone who actually owns one and has actually driven one.....

how much power does it make nafey?

the reason for asking all these questions is because i'm thinkingabout building a very mean very high hp 4agzte

It made 96rwkw with small cams, single throttle and restrictive exhaust. Also a crap computer http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif When i rebuild it I'm going for 110+rwkw with bigger cams, proper management and quads.
96rwkw doesn't sound like heaps, but I dragged and beat an sr20det 180sx once, so it went well!
The thing that makes it great is the torque! It really does have alot more torque. Didn't get a figure, cause the dyno died, but it is really quite fast.

Hmmm, 5agzte would be great http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif

well figures i have from hks for the hks super turbo kit is on 1.2bar they run 310.5ps. but that was with a old t04e. i have a hks gt3040(alot more afficient than a old truck t04e) sitting here so should run some big hp. will also have to get a hks super charger kit which i see now and again.
so far thinking of setup like:
hks 5ag stroker crank, h beam rods, custom forged low compression pistons(hks did make 5agze forged pistons but may be to hard to find)as for head might keep pretty mild just cams port polish head gasket, head studd kit etc. should run close to 350hp without pushing her me thinks.
any ways just some thoughts atm plans not set in concrete

You shouldn't need custom (or 5age) pistons. The original 5AG kit used factory pistons. So any piston for a low compression 4agz/t application should be right, unless you want to overbore it for a bit http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif

The misses old mr2 was ment to have one of those but we never got the car fully sorted.. Had trouble with the car and it was off the road for 6 months thanks to the local autobarn, finally got it back on the road and was about to get the car fully sorted when she got run off the road and hit a tree. Was looking forward to getting it sorted and dropping on a dyno, then to heathecote/calder.
