Hey,

Anyone knoe the difference between all 4a motor sumps?

I noticed a 20v sump had no oil return, but a 4age that i was looking at had an oil return on it?
which mad eno sense to me.. I have a feelign it is a gze sump on the 4age motor?

Anyone with any info on this topic

all aussie delivered ae-82 twin cams came standard with an oil cooler and that meant they had that fitting. No 20V has a return line + cooler. I dont know about 4agze

all 4age sumps are interchangeable (ie. bolt on) except for the 20v sump which has a different flange design.
only differences are in the oil cooler conections on some models as stated above.

Oh? .. thats somethign else i didn't know..

There was a website that had like all the manuals on it for the 4age version as well as exploded views of the engines.

would be keen to see the difference in flanges ..
any one got illustrations or pictures of the different two?

how could it have a different flange when it has an almost identical block??
