SO i heard you can get any model falcon springs
cut them in half and use them in the front and back of a ke70/ae71
true / false?

Rears yes but cut in half the car would be draggin its can around .

for the Falcon springs in the rear, cut them down aiming for around 220 - 200mm free height (uncompressed height)
don't know about the front....

i wouldnt cut them in half just cut a couple of coils at a time. xf xe ea au falcon springs fit in the reare dont know about other models.

my old eb2 fairmont springs were the perfect fit front and back, dont know what crack you guys smoke

So you can use front or rear falcon springs from any of those models? Just cut a few cm off yes or no?

how heavy are they? if you cut the coils off do you know what the spring rate would be in kg/mm?

so i went about bought some falcon springs and they work!

dunno about the rates, but my front feels simmilar to ajps 8kg. I heated up on end though and knocked it level, handles pretty damn good

what is p/n, kfrl, kffr? that might be a dumb question i dunno, just done a 12hr drive.
what model falcon? did you use falcon fronts for the front and falcon rears for the rear? or fronts for the front and back, visa versa?

how many coils do you chop off? do you have to be exactly right for both sides where you cut the spring?

oh yeh and... do these springs fit ae86/71? are ke70 struts n stuff different altogether?

KE70 and AE71 struts are different to 86. shock tube is smaller and spring perches are different.
AE71 panel van struts are rumoured to be the same as AE86
