What do you guys think of these Lotus rims. Im just after opinions on these rims. Probably suited better for front wheel drives.
They are 2 pairs of 16s (175/55R16) about 70-80% tread
2 Pairs of 17s (225/45R17) one has good rubber, other worn out (bad camber I guess)

What are these worth? Im thinking of selling it to someone with a front wheel drive as I think these will look hot.

is actually alright to put different size rims for the front and rears?
wont it damage the diff somehow. *sigh*
i would put them as I think they 100 times better looking than the gold zenettis.

nah i dont think it would damage as long as the rolling diameter doesnt change... but i agreewith levi nafey, put em on the pulsar.... would be hot

Nah man you'll be right, as long as left to right are the same size.
17's on front, 16's on rear, or vice versa will be fine! ANd they look hot http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/happy.gif

The 16s have a smaller rolling diametre and I thought for awd.
the tyres profile all gotta be the same?
like they gotta be 195 all round, front and rears?

Will these work on a Front wheel drive? put the 16s at the front, 17s on the rear?

I work at SUbaru Service and we sometimes mix tyre sizes. All Subaru's are AWD. As lopng as the front two are the same and the rear two are the same.

Yea Ill go buy a pair of rubbers for the fronts and try get it to match the rears rolling diametre. see how that goes..

fuck, how many centre diffs do you replace then?

as long as rolling diamter is same, its fine. other wise...the front is trying to drive quicker than the rear wheels (for smaller on the front) so that, centre diff constanly slips (viscous coupling in this case) sure u can get away with it...and they may -not- fail...but pulled out many a centre diff on a subaru after front/rear drive has constantely turned at diferent speeds (Be it someone has fitted 1.1:1 drop gears on a car with 4.11's through front and rear, not 3.9f and 3.54r...it shreads the poor centre diff apart.)

Well Im under the impression that if the rolling diametres the same, it should be alright.
Those particular rims only fit 100 or so Elises in Australia; Rover engined cars made from 2000 to 2005. Earlier Elises have a 15/16 combo and different pcd. Toyota engined Elises (2004 onwards) have different offset.

You do have to be careful with those rims on any non-Elise as they are not the strongest. They are specially engineered for a car that weighs <800kg and are known to sometimes fail when sticky (R comp) tyres are used.

What sorta centre diff do gtiR's have?? i imagine they would be viscous?? if so you will have major problems with those rims.. even by looking in the pictures the 17s look taller... we replace quite afew landcruiser viscous centre diffs due to people putting different profile tyres on standard rims.. and just to give you an idea they are $1200 just for the diff then labour on top of that... i am sure nissan prices are probably cheaper but still i wouldnt recomend doing it..

on another note what pcd and offset are those rims??

im pretty sure if you make it so the outside of the tyre is the same diametre it will be ok... yea?

pcd is 100.4, suit pulsar, corollas, civics, integras.
unsure of offset.

will it still wreck the diff if i ran bigger rubbers for the 16s. to even out the rolling diametre? cause thats what ill probably do.
