cool...... would it even be worth uping it up to the blacktop.......? I reckon just work the one you got ........ prob get more gains for less cash than going to the trouble of dropping a blacktop in.. IMO

i dunno what t do cos i was tryin to work out the cost of possibly superchargin this r goin for a turbo motor an the turbo conversion seems the simplest with more relyibility..
what do u think would b the best option?

ok yeh..... misunderstood... I thought you were going to just drop another NA Sr in........ that changes things a bit..... not many SC Srs around so that would be different...... and no doubt quite fun... prob end up costing more to do than droppin in a DET though........ I do like the sound of the SC 2L though........... its in your hands man..

I know there was a yellow S13 that was in the drift rounds last year/this year I think....... that was supercharged...
I beleive alot of nissan guys also just bolt on the DET set up on the DE motors with great success.. as they are cheap to replace when they blow..... the higher compression gives great boost response and makes it quite a nice package....... depending on how much boost you want to run ect...

de+t with standard boost is the only alternative engine i would run. You could do it very cheap bolting-on standard parts.
I insist you go for a drive in an de+t s13, boost is instant an real hard.

On standard boost and fmic iv heard nothing but good things. I certainly wouldn't go playing with boost or anything. I cant think of anyone with one atm but you really need to go for a drive in one.

Hmm.. wonder why I havnt seen this before.
oh wait I did.. a few months back. my bad
If you want more power, bolt a Turbo kit off a DET on to it.
it will bolt up fine, its cheaper and as long a syou run standard or lower boost it'll be fine.
Theres a lot of people who throw there 2 cents in on this topic i've found. yet majority of them own NA motors or even 4acs.
My engine is a weaker engine with a bigger turbo then what you will be running. and I cant see any dramas as long as you keep it at the right boost level.

a supercharged sr20 in a hachi would be cool. that gold datto 1600 with the charged sr20 was putting out like 400rwkw wasnt it? maybe not that much but it was alot for an sr.
although bolting on a turbo to that engine will be the cheapest option.
i was going to do the same setup to a 1200 coupe i had. got all the bits ready and everything, then my 86 popped up.... sold the 1200 project to my girlfriends brother.
all you need is the turbo and manifold bigger injectors and microtech and away you go!!

thanks guys for d input http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/2thumbs.gif
think that a turbo on my sr is the way to go at the moment at least if it blows everythings there ready to drop in a det motor..so hopefully il get stuck into that in the coming weeks..with the sc evrything would hav to b custom made so alot more cost involved...il try an get up to option 1 garage on sat an see what exactly is involed an how much of the work i can do myself.. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif

Standard stuff is easy to find, try ns.com or wreckers. An aftermarket ecu isn't needed will run of a nissan u13 bluebird standard ecu, i believe it plugs into the de harness but not sure if the dizzy needs to be modded. Thats all i got, hope iv convinced you.
Definately hit-up option 1

i know of 2 SR20DE+T's going around the shire, one a 1600 with s13 motor, went good had troubles with converting the wiring shits tho, but came out good in the end
the other one is a s14 motor with S15 T28 bb on it and a haltech, made 185rwkw in a ke70.. fucking hammers...
good cheap option, the main difference is the pistons and the DE doesnt have oil squirters under the pistons like the DET.
its not to hard to get 200rwkw out of a s13 SR20DET reliably anyway... check out nissansilvia.com anyway
that said SR20DE s13 motor is $600 at justjap... i had a sr20 in my 1200 ute with 4.875 rear. went ok
did u buy your engine mounts? who made them? what crossmember did u use? any hints or tips with the sr20 conversion? u use the stock fuel lines?
cheers, nick
