Hey there,

I've been trying to fix up my 4AC KE70 to sell and have been trying to fix an issue it has with stalling under braking. By this I mean when I brake with the car in neutral, the engine revs drop. The harder I brake the faster the revs drop until she stalls. Of course when the car is in gear it wont stall.

I can remember a mate about a year ago telling me what this is caused by, but I cant remember.

Anyone have a clue?

Cheers,

Joel

brake booster diaphragm pierced, causing vacuum leak.

i think thats how it goes, had it on both my gemini and my 1st sprinter. replacing booster both times fixed the problem.

thats what i'd be looking at.

I was going to come and make a smart arse comment about using the clutch if you're braking to a stop. But I'm too late.

Gilly's suggested what I suspected too.
