timing settings?

i have a jdm 4age bigport from an 86, what do i set my timing to? advanced/retarded, by how much???

you need to bridge terminals T and E in the diagnostic plug.

then set the set the timing to 10 degrees BTDC @ 800rpm.

then disconnect the bridged wire and timing should be no more than 16 degrees

I have mine on 14 with terminals shorted, no real point going anyhigher
